All volunteer army becomes Volunteer once, in till they're done with you
No, it's not the draft. It's just not letting soldiers out of the army when their tour of duty has finished.

This is getting scary. The administration/military knows that a draft will never pass by the public. So they're taking away their promises that it would all be over one day, and these people would be able to go back to civilian life. I know several students at work who decided to get Master's degreess and continue to get promoted - because they aren't being allowed to leave the service, and otherwise they'd be sent back to the Middle East. It's safer to just keep getting more and more trained, and hope that by the time you've done everything you can do that the rules will have changed again.
I always hated playing with people who changed the rules mid-game. And this isn't a game. This is real.
